4th Crofton Rainbows
We are the youngest group in the Guide Association, aged between 5 and 7 years old. Rainbows first started in 1987.
The unit consists of 15 girls with three adult leaders, who have all undertaken training through the Guide Association.
We meet every Thursday from 5pm to 6pm during term time at St John's United Reform Church. Our aim is to encourage the Rainbows to learn how to work together, make decisions and care for each other. Rainbows enjoy playing games, listening to stories, making things, being out of doors, craft activities and many other things.
We join in at out district sports day, swimming gala and disco.
Once a month we attend Church Parade with the rest of the Uniformed Organisations.
Every Rainbow makes the Rainbow Promise at her enrolment ceremony usually six weeks after she has joined the unit.
When she reaches 7 she goes “over the rainbow” to Brownies.
Rainbows is very popular and there is a waiting list for places. For more information about joining or becoming involved with the running of a Rainbow Unit please contact Jackie on 01689 810839.
