Epiphany 2007

January marks the beginning of the season we call “Epiphany,” a word which is used to describe the ways in which God appears to human men and women. It begins on January 6^th, with the story of the Wise Men, who followed the sign of the star to find the baby who would be the Saviour of the world. It culminates, on 18^th February, Transfiguration Sunday, when we hear the story of how Jesus’ closest friends had a moment of vision on the mountain-top, when they saw Jesus as the person he really was – the Son of God.

Loosen Up: we come to recognise Christ in each other

Sunday 21^st January: Epiphany 3. The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
Shake Up: Christ’s Church in all its rich diversity

Sunday 28^th January: Epiphany 4
Wake Up: Christ’s Church making a difference to the world

Sunday 4 ^th February: Epiphany 5
Sing Alleluia and start moving: taking the first steps of faith

Sunday 11 ^th February: Epiphany 6
Sing Alleluia and keep moving: learning and growing in faith

Sunday 18^th February: Epiphany 7, Transfiguration Sunday Sing Alleluia and worship: reflecting on faith
